IRVING, Texas -- Miami coach Bill Parcells has dipped into the Dallas Cowboys for yet another familiar face -- this time trading for nose tackle Jason Ferguson.
Parcells drafted Ferguson for the New York Jets in 1997, then
took him to Dallas in 2005.
Ferguson was hurt in the first quarter of the opener this past
season and spent the rest of the year on injured reserve.
Jay Ratliff thrived in his place and the Cowboys signed Tank
Johnson for depth, so Ferguson wasn't guaranteed a role anyway.
Trading him frees about 2.4 million dollars toward the Dallas
The teams also exchange sixth-round picks in the upcoming draft,
and the Cowboys will get Miami's sixth-rounder next year.
