Cowboys To Camp In California

IRVING, Texas (AP) - The Dallas Cowboys are heading west to
California for training camp one more time.
A scheduling conflict at the Alamodome in San Antonio has
prompted the Cowboys to decide to conduct camp this summer in
Oxnard, California. That's where they trained from 2004 through
2006.
The Cowboys returned camp to the Alamodome last year after
agreeing to a five-year deal with San Antonio through 2011. But
team officials knew at the time about the church convention already
scheduled this summer for the Alamodome, where they also held camp
in 2002 and 2003.
Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones assures that "San Antonio
remains the long term home to Dallas Cowboys training camp."
The Cowboys were 13-3 last season before losing at home to the
New York Giants in the playoffs. They'll report to camp in Oxnard
between July 21st and the 25th.
