AUSTIN -- Princeton Andrews' two free throws with 10 seconds
left gave Dallas South Oak Cliff the lead and the Golden Bears hung
on to win their fourth consecutive Class 4A state championship,
80-77 over Fort Worth Southwest.
South Oak Cliff (25-8) trailed by 10 early in the fourth quarter
before staging a furious rally. Andrews' baseline layup tied it at
76-76 and his two free throws 15 seconds later made it 78-77.
Brandon Jones added the final point with a free throw with 6.9
seconds left. South Oak Cliff forced two turnovers in the final 10
seconds to keep Southwest from taking a final shot to win or tie.
Michael Connor scored 28 points for Southwest (31-7).
