AUSTIN (AP) - Marcus Anderson scored 25 points, leading
Laneville to the Class 1A Division II state championship with a
56-50 victory over Goodrich.
Byron Blanton had 18 points and 12 rebounds for Laneville
(32-5), which had returned to the title game after losing in the
final last season.
Laneville was the smallest school at the state tournament with
40 students. Of the 19 males enrolled, 14 played basketball.
DeShune Williams scored 20 points and Steven Chavarria scored 15
for Goodrich (32-6).
