ATLANTA -- The Houston Rockets have tied the second-longest
winning streak in NBA history, picking up their 20th in a row by
downing the Hawks 83-75 in Atlanta.
Tracy McGrady scored 21 of his 28 points in the second half
after the Hawks carried a one-point lead into the locker room.
McGrady scored five points during a 10-0 spurt that put the Rockets
Shane Battier (BAT'-ee-ay) was the only other Rocket to score in
double figures, finishing with 15.
The Milwaukee Bucks also won 20 straight during the 1970-71
season, a year before the Los Angeles Lakers set the current league
mark with a 33-game winning streak.
Joe Johnson led the Hawks with 28 points, and Josh Smith had 16
points and a career-high 22 rebounds.
