KATY, Texas -- Sam Houston State's Ryan Bright had 17 points
and 15 rebounds in a 64-62 overtime win over McNeese State in the
Southland Conference tournament.
McNeese State was trailing 64-61 in overtime after Jeremy Thomas
hit two free throws for Sam Houston in the tournament in Katy.
McNeese State had a chance to tie the game when point guard John
Ford was fouled with 0.5 seconds while attempting a long 3-pointer.
Ford made the first free throw, but missed the second and third.
Sam Houston rallied in the final minutes to force overtime after
trailing for most of the game.
John Gardiner scored 11 points and DeLuis Ramirez added 10 for
Sam Houston (23-7).
Ford led McNeese (13-16) with 21 points.
Sam Houston will play Texas-Arlington in the semifinals.
