KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Tony Crocker scored 12 points as Oklahoma beat Colorado 54-49 today in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 tournament.
Longar Longar had 11 points and nine rebounds and Taylor Griffin
added 10 points for Oklahoma (22-10), which faces Texas in
Colorado (12-20) milked the shot clock on nearly every
possession, turning the game into a defensive battle.
Richard Roby led Colorado with 18 points to finish his career
with 2,001, breaking Donnie Boyce's school record by six points.
Roby also had 10 rebounds, and Marcus Hall added 12 points.
The Buffaloes pulled within 51-49 when Dwight Thorne hit a
3-pointer with 30 seconds left, but Crocker hit two free throws and
Austin Johnson made one to finish the scoring.
