GALVESTON -- In a match up of Region XIV leaders the Blinn College Softball, ranked #15 in the NJCAA, team split a pair of games with Galveston College, ranked #8.

In the first game Galveston defeated the Lady Bucs 0-8, Britney Benedict (6-1, 2-1) was the losing pitcher. In the second game Blinn dropped the Whitecaps 4-2 with Elena Crabtree being the winning pitcher (10-5, 5-1).

Blinn College is currently 25-8 overall and10-2 in Region XIV play. The Lady Bucs return home Saturday at 1pm for a double header versus Navarro College.
