For All Blair's Talk, Texas A&M Can Play A Good Game

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A few short years removed from the Big 12
Conference basement, Texas A&M coach Gary Blair's Aggies are one
win away from the school's first Final Four appearance.

To get there, they'll need a landmark win tonight against Pat
Summitt's 33-2 powerhouse Tennessee Lady Vols that have won seven national championships.

Texas A&M has made huge strides since Blair arrived in College
Station. The program had been a contender in the Southwest
Conference but couldn't keep up after joining the Big 12 in 1996.

After years of 2- and 3-win Big 12 seasons, Blair was brought in
from Arkansas in 2003. He started moving the Aggies in the right
direction. Last season, they shared a conference title with
Oklahoma and this season, they make their first-ever appearance in
the Elite Eight.

Blair says his team shouldn't be intimidated against Tennessee
because they worked hard to get to the postseason.
