COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Kyle Russell hit two home runs and Chance
Ruffin pitched five strong innings to give Texas a 9-2 win over
Russell hit a three-run homer in the first inning Sunday and
added a solo shot in the top of the fifth for Texas (23-12, 8-7).
Ruffin (4-2) did not allow a baserunner in the first three
innings and ended 5.1 innings allowing two runs on four hits. Cole
Green earned the save by retiring the final 11 Missouri batters.
Missouri (25-9, 7-5) got its runs on an RBI single by Kyle Mach
in the fifth and an RBI single from Kurt Calvert in the sixth.
