Sean Weatherford survived a stormy start, then breezed through the A&M Consolidated lineup as Bryan topped the Tigers, 2-1, on a windy night at the Viking Baseball Complex.
The Bengals came out swinging the sticks.
Consol's first three batters all tallied hits, Wes Schill's liner to right plated Carson Shomaker with the first run of the game.
The visitors would not score again, nor would they get another hit.
In the bottom of the fifth, Bryan's Adam Kolinek lined a shot to right, earning two bases and two runs batted in as Blake Thigpin and David Pfuntner scored to put the Vikings on top, 2-1.
That's all the advantage Weatherford needed.
He went the distance, striking out 16 Bengals.
Consol falls to 6-&-4 in District 13-5A.
The Big Blue improves to 9-&-0.
Bryan is 23-3-&-1 for the campaign.
