COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Stephen McGee completed 5-of-8
passes for 58 yards, including a 25-yarder to Jamie McCoy, during
Texas A&M's annual spring game Saturday.
About 32,000 fans turned out for a preview of Mike Sherman's
first season as head coach of the Aggies. Sherman took over in late
2007 following Dennis Franchione's resignation after five
tumultuous years.
The Aggies squad led by McGee and Tommy Dorman outscored the
group quarterbacked by Jerrod Johnson and Ryan Tannehill 14-3 over
two quarters.
In the second half, the Aggies ran situation plays such as the
two-minute offense, overtime and goal line.
The Aggies open the season Aug. 30 at home against Arkansas
State.
