WACO -- The A&M Consolidated girls golf team has advanced to the UIL State tournament for the first time in school history. The Lady Tigers claimed the Region 2 championship with a two day total of 639 at the Cottonwood Creek Golf course in Waco.
The Lady Tigers were paced by Casey Grice who won the individual medalist crown with a 3 under par score of 141. Consol beat Plano West by 10 strokes for the regional crown while The Woodlands came in 3rd with a 653.
Along with Grice, Kim Gibson, Haley Green, Skikhi Sheruku and Erin Jang will represent A&M Consolidated at the state golf tournament on May 8th & 9th at the Jimmy Clay Municipal Golf Course in Austin.
