Hornets Sting Mavs

DALLAS (AP) - David West let out his pent-up frustration over a
poor Game 3 with a determined effort in Game 4, scoring 10 of his
24 points in a quick stretch early in the second half to help the
New Orleans Hornets pull away for a 97-84 victory over the Dallas
Mavericks on Sunday and a 3-1 lead in the first-round series.
Dallas point guard Jason Kidd was ejected for
committing a flagrant foul on Jannero Pargo during the fourth
quarter of Game 4 against the New Orleans Hornets.
Pargo was driving to the basket on a fast break when Kidd fouled
the New Orleans reserve with 7:16 left. Pargo hit the floor hard
and the contact was ruled a flagrant 2 - which results in an
immediate ejection.
The three officials reviewed the play and upheld the ruling.
