Adam's Adriano To Run In 134th Kentucky Derby

By  |

BRYAN -- The Kentucky Derby will take place on Saturday at Church Hill Downs and Bryan native Don Adam will have a horse running in the 134th 'Run For The Roses'.

Adriano earned its spot in the derby after winning the Lane's End Stakes last month by 2 1/2 lengths.

While Adam has had the midas touch in business, his horse racing ventures haven't paid off as well, but hopefully Adriano is about to change his luck.

"I would have hoped to have gotten there (the Kentucky Derby) long before now, but in this business there's more lows than highs, said Don Adam, Adriano's owner.

"There's more bad things that happen then good things, but frankly when Adriano was born they sent me photographs and said this one is truly special", claimed Adam.

The Kentucky Derby Draw will take place Wednesday at 4pm on ESPN2.

KBTX will have more on Adam, Adriano and the Kentucky Derby Wednesday night during 10 @ 10.
