Texas A&M Rodeo Team Qualifies Six For College National Finals Rodeo Save Email Print

COLLEGE STATION -- The Texas A&M Rodeo Team is sending six competitors to the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper, Wyoming, June 15-21.

On the Women’s side Lainey Kyle, a junior English major from Grosbeck, won the Southern region in the Breakaway roping and was second in the All-Around, so she gets to pick up a second event, which will be Goat tying.

Courtney Sokol, a junior Marketing major from Brenham, qualified in Barrel racing. Casi Sharp, a senior Agriculture Communications major from San Augustinewill go in Goat tying. Tomile Brown, a junior Kinesiology major from Hillsboro, also qualified in the Breakaway roping.

On the Men’s side Ace Slone, a freshman Business Finance major from Cuero, won the Tie Down Calf roping and was second in the All-Around, therefore he will be able to also compete in the Team Roping. James Lockhart, a junior Ag. Business major from Georgetown won the Steer Wrestling and also qualified in the Team Roping. Best of luck to these competitors at Nationals.
