CEDAR PARK -- The Bryan Vikings scored a pair of runs in the 6th inning Thursday night to take a 6-4 lead over Cedar Park, only problem is they gave up 9 runs in the home half of the 6th and lost 11-6.
The loss was the first by the Vikings in a playoff series opener. Junior Coronado had a 3 RBI double to right field to key the big inning for the Timberwolves.
The win improves Cedar Park's record to 25 and 14 which ties a school record for wins in a season.
The series now switches to Bryan on Saturday with game 2 starting at noon and the 3rd game if necessary starting 30 minutes after the conclusion of game 2.
