COLLEGE STATION -- Texas A&M's Josh Carter has withdrawn his name from consideration for the 2008 NBA Draft and will return for his senior year.

"I decided to take my name out of the draft and concentrate on my senior season," Carter said. "I'm not worried about the NBA right now. I know I have a lot to improve on and will have another shot at the draft next year."

"Josh made a wise and mature decision that will benefit him in the future," A&M Coach Mark Turgeon said.

Carter, a 6-foot-7 guard from Dallas, Carter earned honorable mention All-Big 12 honors for the second straight season after leading the team with a 12.2 scoring average. He led the nation in three-point accuracy as a sophomore in 2006-07.

The Aggies finished 25-11 - the third most wins in school history -- and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
