OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -- The defending Big 12 tournament champions will not repeat the feat this season. This afternoon Texas A&M dropping a 15-9 decision to Texas in day 2 of pool play at the Big 12 tournament being held at the Bricktown Ballpark.
Texas defeated the Aggies for the 4th time in a week. The Longhorns scored 7 runs in the first inning and jumped out to a 12 to nothing lead before the Aggies could get on the scoreboard.
The loss extends Texas A&M's losing streak to 8 and their overall record drops to 42 and 16.
The Aggies will close up Big 12 tournament play Saturday afternoon at 12:30 when they take on Missouri.
