Texas Comes Back To Beat Oklahoma

By  |

OKLAHOMA CITY -- David Hernandez singled in the winning run to cap a three-run ninth inning as Texas stunned Oklahoma 11-10 today at the Big 12 tournament in Oklahoma City.
The loss knocks the Sooners out of contention for the conference
championship.
Jordan Danks and Kyle Russell walked and Brandon Belt had an
R-B-I single to start the Longhorns' rally. Russell scored on a
two-out wild pitch to tie the game, and Hernandez followed with his
single off Chase Anderson (5-4).
The Longhorns squandered a five-run lead before Travis Tucker's
R-B-I single in the eighth put Texas up 8-7.
Oklahoma then rallied in the ninth by scoring three runs on a
fielder's choice, a hit batsman and a bases-loaded walk. Keith
Shinaberry (2-1) struck out J.T. Wise with the bases loaded to keep
Texas within striking distance.
The Longhorns would advance to the championship game if Texas
A-and-M beats Missouri later today.
