FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Second round leader Phil Mickelson
retains his spot atop the leaderboard with a 5-under-par 65 in the
third round of the PGA Tour's Crowne Plaza Invitational. The
second-ranked golfer in the world drained a 17-foot birdie putt on
18 to get to 12-under-par after 54 holes. He'll bring a one-shot
lead into the final round at Colonial.
Rod Pampling birdied 18 for a 7-under 63 and Stephen Ames carded
a bogey-free 64 to vault into a tie for second place.
Tim Clarke shot a 64 and is another two strokes back at minus-9.
