MILWAUKEE (AP) - Ben Sheets got within one out of pitching his
third complete game of the season, and Prince Fielder and Russell
Branyan homered to lead the Milwaukee Brewers past the Houston
Astros 4-1 on Saturday night.
Sheets left after walking Lance Berkman in the ninth inning, but
Salomon Torres came on to get Carlos Lee to fly out for his fifth
save of the season. Sheets (6-1) gave up seven hits while striking
out five to win for just the second time this month.
