ARLINGTON, Texas - Willy Aybar hit a tiebreaking two-run
double in the eighth inning and the Tampa Bay Rays held on for a
5-4 victory over the Texas Rangers on Saturday night.
With the score even at 2 in the eighth, Carl Crawford reached
first against Joaquin Benoit (3-2) on a fielder's choice. Crawford
advanced to third on B.J. Upton's double.
Eric Hinske was walked intentionally to load the bases, and
Benoit struck out Evan Longoria for the second out.
Aybar's double into the right field corner drove in Crawford and
Upton to put the Rays in front, 4-2.
