GRAND BLANC, Mich. (AP) - Kenny Perry took advantage of a late
meltdown by Woody Austin to join a short list of multiple champions
at the Buick Open.
The veteran golfer fired a 6-under 66 in the final round to beat
Austin and Bubba Watson by a single shot. Austin blew the
tournament and $900,000 by bogeying the last two holes. And Watson
missed a 12-foot birdie putt on the final green that would have
gotten him into a playoff had he dropped it in the cup.
Perry's second title at Warwick Hills gives him 11 victories on
the PGA Tour, including the Memorial earlier this month.
