Texas A&M offensive tackle Corey Clark has signed a four-year deal with the San Diego Chargers.

The Bolts tabbed Clark in the seventh round of the NFL Draft, he was the 234th player selected.

The 6-6, 315-pound Clark was a three-year starter for the Aggies and will most likely battle for a reserve role along the offensive line. Clark spent most of his time during minicamp and offseason coaching sessions working at right tackle.

Chargers rookies are scheduled to report to training camp on July 20 and will be on the field July 21 with select veterans. The first full-squad training camp practice will be held on Friday, July 25.

HIGH SCHOOL: A first-team Super Team selection by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine, Clark helped lead Smithson Valley to the Class 5A state championship game … an All-District, All-Area and All-State selection by the Texas Sports Writers Association … coached by Larry Hill … selected to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio … consensus Texas Top 100 recruit.

PERSONAL: Corey Stanley Clark is the son of Eddy and Shirley Clark of Spring Branch, Texas … born June 21, 1984 … majoring in agricultural leadership and development.
