Bryan -- The Brazos Valley Bombers ended their six game home stand with a 5 - 4 win over Coppell Wednesday night at Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark. The victory snapped the Bombers four game losing streak.
The Copperheads began the scoring with a Taylor Davis sacrifice fly in the first inning. The Bombers evened the score when a pitch got past Coppell catcher Jimmie Pharr allowing Zach Grichor to score. Coppell would score the next three runs to take a 4 - 1 advantage. The Bombers got the lead back in the seventh scoring three runs highlighted by a Todd Cunningham two run single.
The Bombers open a two game series with the East Texas PumpJacks Thursday night in Kilgore. First pitch is set for 7:05.
