WIMBLEDON, England -- Saturday's women's final at Wimbledon will be a family affair. Venus and Serena Williams will play for the ladies title at the All England Club for a third time. Serena won both previous meetings in 2002 and '03.
It will be their seventh Grand Slam championship matchup
Four-time Wimbledon winner Venus was first to advance. The
seventh seed earned her seventh trip to the finale at the All England Club with a 6-1, 7-6 victory over fifth seed Elena Dementieva.
Two-time champion Serena followed with a 6-2, 7-6 triumph over
China's Zheng Jie.
Rainer Schuettler will play in his first imbledon semifinal tomorrow. The German saved a match point in the fifth set and went on to defeat Arnaud Clement 6-3, 5-7, 7-6, 6-7, 8-6 in a quarterfinals match that
was tied at a set apiece yesterday evening when play was called
because of fading light.
Next up for Schuettler will be two-time runner-up and second
seed Rafael Nadal.
Tomorrow's other men's semifinal will pit five-time champion
Roger Federer against Marat Safin.
