PINEVILLE, LA -- The College Station Twelve rallied twice on Friday against the Texas Rough Riders to claim the championship at the USSSA World Series on Friday.
College Station Twelve trailed the Rough Riders 2-0 in game one and rallied to win it 11-3.
Ryan Johnson hit his 5th home run of the tournament to pace College Station to victory, and would be named the tournament's most valuable player.
Walker Davis went the distance striking out 4, and would be named the tournament's best defensive player.
In the second game against the Rough Riders, Johnson toed the rubber and struck out 3 as College Station rallied from another 2-0 deficit to post a 9-3 win, and claim the World Series title.
The College Station Twelve went undefeated (7-0) at the USSSA World Series which was held at the Ward 9 Pineville Sportsplex.
