Lufkin -- A funeral service was held Saturday in Lufkin for Aggie Terrence Kiel. Over 700 people attended the service at Harmony Hill Baptist Church In Lufkin. Aggies Sammy Davis and Jarrod Pennright spoke at the service along with Kiel's high school coach at Lufkin John Outlaw and San Diego Chager tight end Antonio Gates.
Kiel was killed July 4th in a car accident in San Diego. The San Diego County Medical Examiner's office ruled the cause of death was mechanical asphyxia.
Terrence Kiel was 27 years old.
