SOUTHPORT, England -- Padraig Harrington has successfully defended his British Open title. He locked it up with an eagle on the 17th hole en route to a final-round 1-under-par 69 on another windy day at Royal Birkdale. The Irishman finished two strokes ahead of runner-up Ian Poulter. The Englishman began the day six shots off the pace before carding 1-under-par 69 to get to plus-7.
