Newman Out Three Weeks

By  |

OXNARD, Calif. (AP) - Coach Wade Phillips today says Dallas
Cowboys cornerback Terence Newman will miss at least three weeks of practice because of a significant groin injury.
Newman was injured during the morning practice yesterday when he twisted his leg after getting tangled up with a receiver during a
play and didn't practice today. However, Newman was on the field
but not in uniform for the day's only workout.
Phillips says Newman underwent an MRI which showed a significant injury.
Returning to the field today was linebacker Justin Rogers. He
missed yesterday's workouts because of dehydration after he
practiced despite a virus on Sunday.
