The score stood still at 2-1 until the fifth inning, when the Bombers provided a bite of their own. With Nick Anders and Trey Sperring on base, Taylor Zambreski delivered a line drive into center field that scored both runners to give the Bombers the 3-2 lead.
Coppell came right back with two runs of their own in the next half inning on Robert Barbosa’s single to take back the lead, 4-3. The Copperheads scored two more to extend their lead to 6-3, where the score stood for the rest of the game.
