COLLEGE STATION, Texas- The Texas A&M football team put on the shoulder pads for the first time this fall in a two-hour workout under unseasonably cool conditions at the grass practice fields on Wednesday evening.
“We need to be a lot better than we were today,” first-year Aggie head coach Mike Sherman said. “It wasn’t good enough today. We had a couple of good practices, and you would think that on a beautiful night like this with pads on, it would be lively. School probably got the best of them. It was the last day of finals, which is understandable. We have to come out here and be consistent and we weren’t.”
The Aggies return to practice with a single morning workout on Thursday.
