COLLEGE STATION -- The A&M Consolidated Tiger football team opened up August camp this morning before the sun started shining in the Brazos Valley. Since arriving at A&M Consolidated 9 years ago Head Coach Jim Slaughter has always tried to beat the heat by getting started at 6 a.m.
This morning over 200 varsity, junior varsity and sophomore football players reported for the start of two-a-days.
The Tigers are coming off a 5 and 6 overall record and trip to the playoffs in 2007.
A&M Consolidated opens the season on the road August 29th when they travel to Round Rock to take on McNeil.
