BRYAN -- Vikings Head Football Coach Bob Bellard said watching teams around the Brazos Valley start practice last week was torture.
While he said he wouldn't trade the four weeks of spring practice the Vikings had, he and his staff and a majority of the players couldn't wait for Monday morning to arrive.
That might explain why Bellard was lined up as a linebacker during one of the team's offensive drills this morning.
The Vikes are coming off a 6 and 5 playoff run, but have some holes to fill with just 4 starters back on offense and 3 on defense.
Bryan opens the season at home August 29th when they host Cypress Falls at Merrill Green Stadium starting at 7:30.
