Bryan- The Rudder volleyball team won the first home competition, for any varsity sport, in the new school's history Tuesday.

The Rangers swept Bremond, 25-23, 25-22, and 25-15.

Stats for that match- Kills - Madison Hancock 9, Andrea Earwood 5; Digs - Brooke Engel 12, Kayla Emry 10; Assists - Jaliza Ford 18; Aces - Brooke Engel 4

But, Rudder dropped the second match of its twin bill to Brazos Christian.

The Eagles soared to a 25-19, 25-27, 25-16 and 26-24 victory.

Stats for the second match- Kills - Andrea Earwood 9, Madison Hancock 8; Digs - Brooke Engel 14, Assists - Jaliza Ford 14, Aces - Britney Bledsoe 3

Rudder will start play in the Leon tournament Thursday.

1st match - Rudder win vs. Brazos Christian 25-16-25-19
2nd match - Rudder win vs. Bremond 25-17, 25-15
