BRYAN -- It was a battle of firsts, the first game to be played at Brazos Christian's new stadium, and the first game ever for the Snook Blue Jays.
Before the game started, former NFL referee Red Cashion was honored as he gave the inaugural coin toss, which the Brazos Christian Eagles won.
On the first play from scrimmage, the Eagle's Chad Milburn takes a hand off close to sixty yards to put Brazos Christian up 7-0.
On their next possession, the Eagle's again hand off to Milburn who again runs the ball in for a score, giving Brazos Christian a 14-0 lead.
Still in the first quarter, the Brazos Christian quarterback hands the ball to Jaxton McNair, who pounds the ball up the middle and falls over the goal line. The Eagles miss the extra point but they are in control of the game with a 20-0 lead.
Shortly after making a close field goal to take a 23-0 lead, the Eagles force a Snook fumble and the Eagles Ben Brown scoops up the ball and takes it in for a score giving Brazos Christian a 30-0 lead.
Brazos Christian cruises through the rest of the game as they win over the Snook Blue Jays 30-0.
Brazos Christian will play the Texas School of the Deaf on Friday, Sept. 12 at 7:00
