HUNTSVILLE-The Sam Houston State football game with Prairie View A&M, originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 13, has been canceled.
The game will not be rescheduled.
"We appreciate the efforts of the Director of Athletics Fred Washington and Head Football Coach Henry Frazier at Prairie View A&M for working with us to try to find a way to play the game," Sam Houston Director of Athletics Bobby Williams. "After looking at all aspects of the situation, we mutually agreed that it was in the best interest of our student-athletes and fans to cancel the game."
Sam Houston State's next game will be with the Kansas Jayhawks in Lawrence, KS, Saturday, Sept. 20.
Fans with tickets for the Prairie View A&M game may exchange those tickets for future Bearkat home events. There will be no refunds.
