IOLA -- The Iola Bulldogs celebrated homecoming Thursday night by crowning Erin Compian as its 2008 queen, but that was about the only thing worth cheering about in Iola's home opener.
Iola's offense was slowed by Slayton Murry's ankle injury and it showed as the Bulldogs failed to score a point in a 19-0 loss to Milano.
Milano would be held scorelsss in the first half, but found the endzone three times in the second to win for the second time this season.
Milano (2-1) will host Giddings State next Thursday night at 7, while Iola (0-2) is still looking for its first win of the year as they travel to Somerville next Friday for a 7:30 kick.
