NAVASOTA -- The Navasota Rattler football team will step back on the field September 26 when they host the Rudder Rangers. It will be the first game the team has played since having home games on September 12 against Hearne, and September 19 against Bellville canceled due to Hurricane Ike.
With an open date fast approaching on October 3, that would mean the Rattlers would play just one game in the span of four weeks. Head Coach Lee Fedora knew he had to find an opponent for that open week and tonight announced that the Sealy Tigers would be coming to Rattler Stadium to play Navasota on October 3, with the kickoff set for 7:30.
Sealy is currently undefeated and ranked 8th in the state while Navasota holds down the 6th spot in class 3A with a 2-0 mark.
The October 3rd match up of state ranked teams will certainly be one of the state's premier games that week.
