CALVERT -- The Calvert Trojans picked up a 70-20 homecoming victory tonight over Waxahachie Eagle Advantage. The Trojans were lead offensively by Wendell Green who rushed for over 200 yards and scored 4 touchdowns.
The amazing thing about his rushing performance is that he only had 7 carries on the night.
Calvert got a defensive touchdown from Xavier Green in the first quarter. Xavier picked off the Waxahachie pass and returned it 30 yards untouched for a touchdown to make it 18 to nothing.
The outcome in this one was never in doubt. Calvert entered the game favored by 45 and UIL's top ranked six man team would not disappoint the homecoming crowd with the 50 point victory.
Darshea Bunns was crowed homecoming queen at halftime.
Calvert (5-0) will be on the road next week when they take on Fannidel.
