CALDWELL- Rudder scored first, but generally speaking, it was Caldwell's night at the Hive.
The Hornets stung the visitors 72-to-18 on homecoming night at their own stadium.
The Rangers actually led, 7-0, when Resteven Anderson scored after Rudder recovered a Caldwell fumble.
But, Team Green struggled to get a grip on shifty running back Nelson Scott and the rest of the Hornets' offense.
Caldwell had the game well in hand by the half when Candace Stifflemire was named homecoming queen.
The Big Orange is now 4-&-1, 2-&-0 in District 24-3A.
Rudder falls to 0-&-4, and 0-&-2.
The Rangers host Rockdale next week, while Caldwell travels to Navasota for a showdown with the Rattlers.
