IOLA- The Iola volleyball team won a much-anticipated Highway 39 Throwdown Tuesday evening at Bulldog Gym.

The Lady Bulldogs swept their old rivals, the Normangee Lady Panthers, in their district opener, 25-21, 25-19, 25-16.

Second-ranked Iola improves to 29-&-2 for the season.

The Maroons host Richards Friday.

Number-12 Normangee falls to 20-&-8.

Team Green is at North Zulch Friday.
