BREMOND- Normangee and Bremond fans should wear oven mitts to the game when the Panthers and Tigers play. It would save the wear-&-tear on their fingernails.
The rivals played another cliffhanger Friday night in Bremond with the Tigers scoring last to take a 16-to-15 victory.
The Big Red opened the scoring in the first period on a four yard touchdown toss from LiDarral Bailey to Jake Fowler.
Bremond added a two-point conversion to make it, 8-0.
The Panthers came up with all the answers in the second period.
Justin Mullinnix hit a wide open Dylan Castillo with an 18 yard scoring strike. That TD, and a two-point conversion, tied the score at eight.
Later in the second stanza, Normangee faced a fourth-and-four at midfield. Jordan Mullinnix took the pitch... and took it all the way to the house for a 15-to-8 Normangee lead.
Bremond's rally, improves the sixth-ranked Tigers' mark to 7-&-0. The Bengals are 2-&-0 in District 22-1A.
Normangee falls to 4-&-3 overall, 1-&-1 in league play.
