COLLEGE STATION -- The A&M Consolidated Lady Tiger Volleyball team made it a clean sweep in District 12-5A Tuesday night with a 3 set win over Bryan (25-13, 25-16, 25-14) to improve to 30-7 overall and 14-0 in district play.
Shelby Dickson led the Lady Tigers with 10 kills, while Mimi McFarland and Ashton Holliday added 9 each.
The Lady Vikings needed a win to hold onto sole possession of second place in 12-5A, but couldn't slow down the Tigers' attackers at the net.
In the second set, Tiffany Regmund gave the Vikings an 8-7 lead on one of her game high 13 kills, but it wouldn't be enough for the Vikings to earn a split in the Crosstown Showdown series that Consol swept this year.
A&M Consolidated and Bryan are both headed to the playoffs next week. Bryan's opponent has yet to be determined. The Lady Tigers will take on North Mesquite next Monday night at 7 at Waco Midway High School in Hewett.
