Aggies Receive More National Recognition

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M women’s basketball team was selected a school-record No. 10 in the preseason USA TODAY/ESPN Coaches Top 25 poll released on Wednesday.

The Aggies are making their third all-time appearance in the preseason Coaches Poll next to being selected a previous program-best of No. 11 in 2007-08 and No. 14 in 2006-07. A&M was one of two Big 12 Conference schools to round out the top 10. The Aggies turned in a school-record 29-8 record a year ago which included the program’s first-ever trip to the NCAA Elite Eight and second consecutive Big 12 Championship title (postseason).

The Aggies host the Houston Jaguars on Friday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m., prior to opening up the 2008-09 season with their home opener versus Mercer on Friday, Nov. 14 at 8 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets by calling The 12th Man Foundation Ticket Center at: 979-845-2311 or 1-888-99-AGGIE.
