HUNTSVILLE -- Karrington Bush rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns and returned five kickoffs for 179 yards including a 79 yard score to lead Texas State-San Marcos to a 48-45 victory over Sam Houston State Saturday at Bowers Stadium.
Bush scored the game-winning touchdown in the first overtime on a five-yard run.
Quarterback Rhett Bomar completed 33 of 55 passes for three touchdowns and 337 yards. His 27-yard scoring pass to Jason Madkins tied the game 42-42 with four seconds left to play.
Running back James Aston carried 33 times for 179 yards and a score.
The Bearkats end the season 4-6. Texas State-San Marcos clinched at least a tie for the Southland Conference championship.
