MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State has called a news conference
for Monday morning amid multiple reports that Bill Snyder, who
retired as Wildcats coach three years ago, has been rehired.
Snyder, 69, stepped down with a 136-68-1 record after reviving
what had been the losingest program in major college history. The
school refused to say who its selection is, insisting an official
announcement would be made Monday morning.
The new coach replaces Ron Prince, who was fired three years
after following Snyder.
