CROSBY -- The Franklin Lions lost a heart breaker this afternoon at Cougar Stadium against Newton 35-21.

La Ray Alfred led the Newton attack with four rushing touchdowns.

The Lions end their season at 8-&-4.

The Eagles improve to 10-&-2.

They advance to the Class 2A Region III, Division II championship game.
