HOUSTON -- Texas A&M’s Stephen McGee is one of 31 new additions to the 84th East-West Shrine Game roster, scheduled for Jan. 17, 2009, at the University of Houston’s Robertson Stadium in Houston, Texas.
In addition to McGee, the West team welcomes Dan Gay IV from Baylor University as well as three players from the University of Southern California, Kaluka Maiava, Kevin Ellison and Cary Harris; two players from Oklahoma, Jon Cooper and Lendy Holmes; two players from Oregon State, Victor Butler and Brandon Hughes; and two more players from the University of Oregon, Ra’Shon Harris and Fenuki Tupou. The West also adds John Faletoese from the University of California – Davis, Juan Garcia from the University of Washington, Ian Johnson from Boise State and Mike Reilly from Central Washington University.
On the East side, today’s additions include two players from the University of Michigan, Terrance Taylor and Morgan Trent, and two players from the University of South Carolina, Jamon Meredith and Jasper Brinkley, as well as Ramon Foster from Tennessee, Courtney Greene from Rutgers, Ron Brace from Boston College, Chase Daniel from Missouri, Sammie Lee Hill from Stillman College and Mortty Ivy from West Virginia University. Also to join the East side will be Brian Mandeville from Northeastern, Seth Olsen from the University of Iowa, Greg Orton from Purdue, Jake Richardson from Miami University, Curtis Taylor from LSU and Jahi Word-Daniels from Georgia Tech.
